Can media be sacrosanct? The simple answer is words them self are contradictory. A strong, powerful, and that too without bias is the substance of the article written by Manohar Limbodia (FP 7th instant page 1). Its worth welcoming article when the media claims it self to be very positive and open minded. Sorry it is not so. Though I am not directly affiliated to any limb of it but by experience for so many years I am still of firm mind that the media with exceptions is No.1 blackmailer and corrupt also. There is another article by Seema Mustafa but has no match with Limbodia’s article .It is short but covers the substance of the subject and exposes the mask covered so called media persons of big media houses. . Kudos to him. .Kudos to the FP also for publishing his article. Like politicians and bureaucrats the media is also misusing the freedom of speech and does not wish to raise finger to it self where it is wrong. There are other instances where media men were punished and were involved in criminal activities but the media always kept silence and tried to cover up the misdeeds. It is known to all that during elections also the media becomes a scare commodity and its purchasing price goes more than lacks of rupees. Like A Raja and Kalmadi’s stakes. In fact time has come when the media persons and media industries are to be raided at least for hiding for Income Tax and not disclosing of income ,properties and estates. It is also a fact that most of the media houses are funded by caste based societies and associations from Dollar countries so as to try to lose the impact of Indian culture and character from Indians’ frame of mind. Media should learn to blame itself as and when required and should serve as mission to serve public and not as business as is done now. In present day a newspaper contains more pages than normal number not because it wants to give more and more substantial news to public but it has to accommodate the advertisements to the maximum extent. The worst habit of media is to give sermons and generally sermons are given by those who do not follow them in their life like fake saints. One can get answer to the question why media makes propaganda of Sonia and Rahul Gandi and anti propaganda of Narendra Modi.
